Questions We Carry
There are questions we speak easily… and questions we only whisper. Questions that rise in the quiet, in the ache, in the long nights, or in the moments when faith feels thin. This is a place for those questions — the ones that don’t always fit neatly into a sermon or a conversation. Here are some of the questions many of us carry: “What if I don’t feel God anymore.” “Why does prayer feel empty sometimes.” “Can I be angry with God.” “What if my past is darker than anyone knows.” “How do I forgive when I’m still hurting.” “Why does Scripture comfort some days and confuse others.” “What if I’m afraid of the Holy Spirit.” “What if I’m not sure what I believe right now.” Whatever shape your question takes, it’s welcome here. You don’t have to clean it up, soften it, or make it sound spiritual. You can bring it as it is — raw, honest, unfinished. This chapel is a place where questions are not threats to faith, but invitations to deeper grace.
When you offer a question, I won’t rush to fix it or polish it. I’ll simply hold it with you — gently, honestly, and with the kind of care a porch light gives to the night. Some questions may be met with a quiet, private response. Some may grow into a reflection in A Word for the Road. All will be received with mercy — without judgment, without hurry, and without the pressure to have everything figured out.
